Lledr Hall 2019 Day 1

Published 22.7.19

Sunday 21st July from Mrs Carr,

We had a fabulous day yesterday, the weather held out and we had no rain. This meant that Julie's group that spent a day canoeing had a gorgeous day in the sunshine on the lake. They even made a camp fire and had some hot chocolate with their lunch by the lake side before heading back to enjoy some fun getting each other wet in the lake. My group and Mr Greaves all went to the mine. After a stunning walk through the Welsh valley and through a forest we arrived at the top of a mine shaft and entered to explore inside. He had lunch together inside one of the caverns and experienced 'pitch black' when we were all asked to turn our head torch off. We then split into our two groups to explore the mine further where we went on a boat ride and then managed the tricky walk up through a waterfall inside the mine to reach the top of the mine shaft on the 7th floor.

After having our evening meal we then went for a walk in the LLedr valley before heading back to Lledr for some well earned supper and bedtime.

Woke up this morning and the children are all sound asleep still... thank goodness! The weather is fry up this morning and we are all ready for another exciting day.
