Year 3 trip to the Dewa Roman Experience in Chester

Published 29.3.19

Year 3 had a fantastic time on our trip learning more about life in Roman Britain.

We had lots of fun experiencing life in the Roman Army as we marched around Chester with our shields. Everyone heard us chanting “Sin, dex, sin” which means ‘left, right left’ in Latin!

We enjoyed seeing and even holding different Roman artefacts and it was fascinating to visit a real live archaeological dig to uncover more secrets of our Roman past.

One of the highlights of our day was our visit to the remains of the amphitheatre and learning lots of gory facts about what happened there in the past.

Many thanks to everyone who supported us with this trip.
