Year Six's Week - 13.9.19

Published 13.9.19

Another great week in Year 6. We have been busy writing drafts and final copies of the first section of the spooky short film 'Alma'. Each one was superb and there are many talented writers within the class. Maths has involved some revision of multiplying and dividing by 10, 100 and 1000 and rounding, where we have all worked together to solve some very tricky problems. Our class novel is being enjoyed by all - what will happen next in 'The Light Jar'? Finally, the week finished with some very 'hands on' science. The children returned from lunch today to find several lamb hearts on the tables, ready to be  observed, prodded and cut open! Photos are on the class Twitter page - @WhartonY6.

Everyone should have come home with this week's spellings and some maths questions. Don't forget that the projects book is there for extra work If required. I really enjoyed listening to the children's role models this week - they were really thoughtful and considered.

Have a great weekend - see you all on Monday:)
