Year Six's Week - 20.9.19

Published 20.9.19

In English, we reached the finale of 'Alma' and everyone has produced superb writing that has been drafted, edited and beautifully presented. Maths lessons have reviewed more of our place value knowledge and we have started to revise our understanding of multiplication - something that has obviously been well learned in Year 5! I was so impressed with the work produced in our topic lesson this week - beautifully crafted writing about how the climate and environmental changes as you climb a mountain, and science lessons involved detailed write-ups about our most recent investigation into pulse rate.

Attendance has improved this week - we had 3 consecutive days of 100%. Let's see if we can make this 5 next week! Homework for this week was a reading comprehension, and don't forget to have a try at some of the projects.

Thank you to those who have already brought in empty plastic bottles for science in a coupe of weeks and also to those who have contributed to the cost of the climbing wall days. The first group will go on Friday so those who are in 'Group 1', please make sure you have your consent forms back in before then.

Have a great weekend. Enjoy the sunshine and see you all back in on Monday at 8:55!
