Year Six's Week - 21.6.19

Published 21.6.19

The week started with another celebration: this time it was the turn of our 'Maths Team'. Four of our wonderful children (Ellie, Joseph, Katie-Lea and Finley) took part in (and won!) a very tough event. Once again, they represented our school superbly - we are so proud of you all. On Tuesday, we had a really interesting day. A visiting police detective showed us how to interview, take fingerprints and solve a crime. Some great questions were asked and lots was learned. Also, rehearsals for our final assembly are now in full swing and the singing is sounding beautiful already - we can't wait for you to see it on the 17th July. Finally, a big 'thank you' for all of your kind contributions towards the Eco-Council: everyone looked great in green!

As we had to postpone KS2 Sports Day on Monday, we have scheduled this Thursday (27th) at 1pm as our new slot. Fingers crossed that the sunshine will stay this time! We will also be finishing our STEM projects with Mrs Thornton and welcoming another guest into school. On Tuesday, Mr Swainsbury will be visiting to show us what maths may look like in Year 7. I'm sure we will impress him with how ready we are. Have a lovely weekend.
