Chinese New Year in Nursery

For CNY, our nursery friends shared lots of lovely fiction and non-fiction texts to learn all about the celebration. We also joined in with lots of art and craft activities- making lanterns, Chinese dragons and very lucky red envelopes. For our own celebration, we enjoyed a Chinese banquet and tasted a variety of different foods such as noodles, prawn crackers and spring rolls. We ended our banquet by using the large dragon head, that we made as a team, and danced around with material and musical instruments to create the famous dragon dance! We had such a lovely week.
