Nursery- All About Mexico

What a week we have had learning all about Mexico!!

We have….
… Made Tacos and ate them for our snack.
… Explored popular fruits, used our senses to describe them and even tasting them during a focused food tasting activity,
… Listen to and explored Mexican music and the traditional musical instruments.
… Learnt about the Mexican Halloween, The Day of the Dead.
… Made sugar skull crafts and headbands
… Formed our initial sounds out of ‘bones’.
…. Learnt a Mexican dance using our musical instruments.
…. We have made our very own Mexican shakers and explored different types of music (fast and slow/loud and quiet).
… Learnt all about the cactus plant.
… Made role play Tacos in the nursery sensory area.
… Learnt all about the Mexican flag- through collage, painting and threading necklaces.

And most of all had lots of new experiences and lots of fun!!!
