Nursery- Jack and the Beanstalk

Nursery have enjoyed exploring the story, Jack and the Beanstalk within our topic of 'Roots, Shoots and Muddy Boots'.
-We have re-told and acted out the story
-Ordered numbers up and down the beanstalk.
-Planted beans and learnt all about plant and how we care for plants.
- Counted out golden eggs, and magical beans.
-Explored lots of tactile and sensory opportunities.
- We have explored plants, printed and painted with flowers, as well as, created observational drawings.
- Used scissors to cut different parts of plants.
-Explore different parts of plants with magnify glasses.
-We have build our names on flowers.
-Used our fine muscle and gross motor movements to hole punch, thread, mark make in a variety of different ways using leaves and twigs.
-Used a wide range of mediums to create beanstalks, plants and flowers.
-Made beanstalks using salt dough.
-Created an experiment by having one plant that had sunlight and water, one plant that had no sunlight but had water and one plant that has no water but sunlight. We then created an observations to find out which beanstalk would grow?
-Created story maps and verbally re-told the story to enhance our communication and language skills and much more...
We have had lots of fun.
