Spring 1 in Nursery

What a start to the year! Nursery have been immersed in different job roles such as firefighters, police officers, doctors and vets. We have also enjoyed a full week celebrating and learning all about Chinese New Year and soon we will be heading off to Brazil- to enjoy learning all about movement, dance, colours and the famous Rio Carnival Festival!

Some of our focus learning time has been to develop…
… building and forming the letters in our names.
…. Learning numerals 1-4.
…. Counting out objects and subitising up to 4.
…. Exploration of colours and mixing paint for different outcomes
… exploring and describing materials and exploring the properties of floating and sinking.
… learning all about different festivals around the world.
… daily phonics, exploring instrumental and environmental sounds.
… daily maths games and activities.
And so much more!
We have had an engaging and fun start to the year! Thank you to all of the grownups for all of your support so far!
