Year Six's Week - 1.11.19
Published 1.11.19
What a great week back Year 6! Although it was short, we have packed a lot in. We have started our new text, which is being used across school, 'The Day the Crayons' Quit, and have produced some AMAZING pieces of work. In the style of the book, we created new postcards from a variety of interesting colours. Some were very funny...some were very angry!! But all were fantastic to read. In maths lessons, we have been focusing on calculation, but have still had time to review some geometry (no 'upside down' triangles Year 6) and met 'The Angle Family'! Science coincided perfectly with Hallowe'en as we investigated the human skeleton! We also tried our new 'secret' acts of kindness, where everyone was given a name and had to show some kindness to that person during the week. 8 children were guessed correctly so we'll see if we can improve this next week. Finally, our new Head Boy and Head Girl were chosen - Leo and Lillie. I am sure they will do a wonderful job, as will all of the prefects. Well done all.
Next week, we will beginning our new history topic: World War II. Homework project books were sent home tonight to link with this so I look forward to seeing lots of creative work.
Have a great weekend everyone.
