Year Six's Week - 11.10.19

Published 11.10.19

This week, we've been creating writing based around the emotions from 'Inside Out'. We discussed how the characters would move, appear, act and affect others. The finished pieces were wonderful! In maths, we have been learning the rules of calculating, looking at the order of operations (BIDMAS) and we completed our first guided arithmetic paper - the scores were superb already...and it's only October! In our geography lesson, we produced some very interesting instructions about what would be needed to climb Mount Everest and next week we will be writing some information pages about some famous Everest climbers. The week finished with 'Feel Good Friday', where all of the children enjoyed a 'happy' performance from the Pop Project, before having a calming art lesson in the afternoon, looking at some famous Van Gogh paintings. Another super week Year 6!

After-school club letters went home yesterday, so make sure they're back in on Monday if you want your first choice. I look forward to seeing lots of you on Tuesday at Parents Evening. Have a great weekend :)
