Year Six's Week - 27.9.19

Published 27.9.19

'Road's End' came to its stunning finale in English and the children's writing has been superb. They are all carefully choosing vocabulary to create tension and thinking about when to shorten or lengthen their sentences. Their work has been a pleasure to read! In maths lessons, we have been revising short division and solving some tricky reasoning questions and in our science lessons this week, we have had fun creating our own 'blood' using our bottles, cheerios, marshmallows and food dye! The week ended with some of the children braving the climbing walls at Awesome Walls in Stockport (some of which are over 20 metres high!!) and I can't wait to hear all about it on Monday. The other half of the class will go next Friday. Thank you so much for all of the contributions towards the cost of the day. Homework this week was a maths quiz and spellings. Don't forget to try a few of the project ideas as well! Have a lovely weekend :)
