Year Six's Week - 8.11.19

Published 8.11.19

This week we have been busy creating some fantastic final drafts of our responses to the crayons from Duncan. Some children chose to write as a very angry Duncan, whereas some were a little more sympathetic! Yet, all were superb and I have loved reading them. Maths has looked at finding angles in a triangle, a quadrilateral, on a straight line and in a full turn - a very busy week. As well as this, we have continued to practise arithmetic and each day we can see improvements and growing confidence. Earlier in the week, we started our topic on WWII by looking at what life was like in the 1930s, just before it started, and in science we produced wonderful information pages about the human skeleton, with many fascinating facts! Another great week Year 6 - well done!

The children have spellings to learn, some grammar revision and, of course, their projects to be getting on with.

Next week we will be commemorating 'Remembrance' on Monday and it is a non-uniform day on Friday, with any donations going to 'Children in Need'.

Have a lovely weekend everyone.
